As a winter pick-me-up I decided on a trip to Rome for shopping, sights and gastronomic delights.
Unfortunately the exchange rate was not kind to me, the prices were the same as London, and so my dates with my favourite Italian designers would have to be postponed until another time. However this didn’t stop me from purchasing a beautiful pair of vintage Carrera sunglasses, after all it would be ridiculous to return empty-handed, when in Rome…
Rome exudes charm, from the crumbling relics to the cobbled streets; it is hard not to fall with love with her and her inhabitants. The one thing I take away from this trip, except an addiction to gelato cioccolato, is a love for the classic silhouette.
Breathtaking! Too bad about the exchange, but sometimes it's nice to have one special thing to take home with you (and that just means a bigger splurge next time!).
ReplyDeleteHi! I saw your comment on my blog (wardrobe wisdom) and have only just got around to reading yours, but I love it!! Just read half a dozen of your posts... :-) I'm going to put you on my 'fave blogs' section so if you have space to return the mention that would be lovely ;-)
