Carousels, Sugar and Russian Hats...
So, I've now been in Florence now for just over a week and am loving it! I have spent the days wandering aimlessly around the city discovering delicious gelaterias (proof of my pistacchio ice-cream above), stumbling across beautiful boutiques and of visiting some cultural sights - as well as studying of course... Here are a few things that caught my eye in the city namely clothes and sweet food! If anyone has any recommendations then please let me know.

Florence Bound!
Ciao tutti! I have escaped to Florence for three weeks worth of sun, shopping and studies which is very exciting. It is my first morning in Florence and already I am wanting to gorge on gelati - is it wrong to want this at 11am!? - and hit the shops in a big way! I shall keep you posted, quite literally, on all that's hot about Florence. X

Off With Their Heads!
One of the most hotly anticipated films of 2010 is Tim Burton’s take on Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ featuring regular collaborators Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter, alongside a fantastic cast of Alan Rickman, Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas and Mia Wasikowska as Alice.
As this is my all-time favourite book, I am both extremely exciting and anxious about the results of this film, it’ll either be a Tim Burton sensation or a poor re-working of a magical story. The costumes alone look fantastic, especially the Mad Hatter, played by Johnny Depp who is made for this role, and I really hope that the film follows suit.
Burton’s vivid imagination and wild creativity are well-suited for the story, and I can’t wait to see how he brings the delightfully eccentric characters to life.

I Heart Cheryl
X-Factor is back on our screens and along with it brings the return of Cheryl mania, which I am proud to report that I’m supporting whole heartedly! Bring on the short hemlines, the Brazilian-esque volumed hair, pearly whites and platform heels; ladies and gentleman Cheryl is a fashion force to be reckoned with.
