Sarah Burton, of McQueen, Designs Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Dress

Kate Middleton chooses a Sarah Burton, of McQueen, creation for her Royal Wedding dress.
The dress, designed by Burton, has a lace applique bodice and skirt, and veil. The bride has paired this with a Cartier tiara lent to Kate Middleton by the queen.
Sarah Burton described creating the future Queen's dress as being the "experience of a lifetime".

Knuckledusters

In contrast to today's historical Royal Wedding
(congrats Will and Kate, Kate's knuckleduster is in the post),
I'm going to talk about knuckledusters.
I'm going through a knuckleduster phase at the moment
and here are my favourite more extravagant pieces. What do you think?

Arizona Muse and Freja Beha Erichsen

This is such a stunning photo of Arizona Muse and Freja Beha Erichsen
taken yesterday at Terry Richardson's studio.
I love it's natural simplicity.
Beautiful!

Kate and Will, Ice-Cream Flavour

Like or not, the country is going Royal Wedding crazy. Kitsch souvenirs of tea towels, mugs and t-shirts are in every magazine, website, and shop we set our eyes on. Thankfully we have a rather tasteful souvenir of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day – an ice-cream flavour! Now you can gorge to your heart’s content on the momentous day (Friday 29 April) thanks to Dri Dri gelateria on Portobello Road and Sydney Street, Chelsea. Let’s hope the sunshine stays!

Prada Nail Art

I love these Prada-inspired nails
featuring the iconic S/S banana print.
Can't wait to try these out at home!

Happy Easter!

A belated happy Easter to you all!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend basking in the beautiful sunshine.
I had a great weekend involving catching up with friends,
camping, and eating colomba.
The colomba is the traditional Italian Easter cake in the shape of a dove.
Delicious! Buon appetito.

Converse Press Day S/S 11

Last night I headed to the Converse press day
to see what they had on offer for S/S 11.
Every fashionista has a pair of Chuck Taylor's in their wardrobe
so I was intrigued to see their new styles to expand upon my collection.
The space was great and the presentation of the shoes was really imaginative,
from shoes hanging from the ceiling to sat on elevated chairs.
Anyone know the way to the WC?
The collection looked great, however in my opinion,
I don't think that the classic Chuck Taylor's can be beaten in the style stakes.
And who can argue with such devotees as Paul McCartney,
Jimi Hendrix and, the first lady of fashion, Michelle Obama.
However, the main highlight for me was the food.
Guests enjoyed typical American comfort food
from Moorish macaroni and cheese
to the perfect pastrami on rye this side of NYC.
It was such a perfect brand match - well done Converse!

Stolen Girlfriends Club Highlight

Here is the highlight piece from the latest Stolen Girlfriends Club collection
as seen at the Robinson Pfeffer press day.
I just love the simplicity of the jumper juxtaposed with the fur sleeves.
I want!

IPR Press Day

I recently went to the IPR press day on the Kingsland Road, Shoreditch.
Here are the highlights from my visit:
The beautiful bold rings and knuckle dusters
(sorry can't remember the name, can anyone help?),
and the Prism glasses which I am obsessed with and desperately want to own a pair!

AnOther Magazine, Weekly Loves

This week's weekly love is no other than AnOther Magazine's Loves.
This user-generated 'loves' list allows readers to upload
everything that they love at that moment,
from rainbow coloured ice-cream to a Yves Saint Laurent portrait.
I LOVE browsing this list as it is as inspiring as it is varied.
A must-read!
Ps. I realise that six 'loves' (inc. title) in a short post may seem a lot, but this is worth it!

Australian Vogue, Sophie Monk

I've just stumbled upon this copy of Australian Vogue featuring model Sophie Monk.
I was blown away by the strong image, and it has swiftly become one of my favourite covers of all time - bold statement, I know!
I love the combination of the neon pink lipstick (so on-trend right now, don't ya know?), sharp bob, fake eyelashes and the seductive pose.
Only one complaint, why didn't she choose diet Coke!? The fashionable choice.
