Emmanuelle Alt and French Vogue Cover Wham

French Vogue have recently created a music video of their team covering Wham's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go', with Emmanuelle Alt featuring as George Michael in his heyday. It is seriously addictive viewing and I have been raving about it to anyone who will listen (I'd like to publicly apologise to my colleagues for this).

Not only have they produced great content and a highly engaging video, but it is also fantastic branding for French Vogue's newly launched website. It re-establishes their place in the market as experimental, revolutionary and fearless within the realms of fashion, as well as having joie de vivre.

It has made me love editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt more than I thought possible. After all what's not to love about a girl who doesn't take herself too seriously, and can make an 80s ensemble of a salmon pink sweatshirt, skinny jeans and high tops look like the epitome of cool. How long do you think it will be until Urban Outfitters start stocking this outfit?

Anyway, I have to dash, I'm about to start online shopping for a pair of white Baxter jeans and why not throw in a pair of white denim shorts and a 'Choose Life' t-shirt for good measure?

  2. It definitely makes you want to 'go - go' to their new online pages. Do you think Alt has already proven that she can fill Carine Roitfeld's shoes?

  3. It is such an engaging video and I have seen it embedded on countless websites, blogs, Facebook pages etc. A great success!

I think that Alt is a fantastic replacement for Roitfeld. I can't wait to see her make her mark!
