Craig Redman's Egg-Shaped Art

Craig Redman has created these fantastic egg-shaped fashion alter egos, including Anna Dello Russo (looking dashing with her iconic cherry headpiece), Lady Gaga, Anna Wintour and more. These alter egos have been created to celebrate the Parisian retail-haven, Colette’s, 15th anniversary. The collection includes 150 portraits of people who have contributed to fashion, art, design, film and music in recent years. Fantastique!

Freja Beha Erichsen - Off Duty

I'm a big Freja Beha Erichsen fan; I think that she is has a beautiful 80s androgynous look and manages to look so unique and effortless in each of her many campaigns. I came across this photo recently, and it really stuck out to me. I love the off-duty, wind swept nature of it, and the fact that they seem to be caught unaware.

Goodbye London, Ciao Milano...

Sadly, we must say goodbye to London Fashion Week until September. We’ve had another great season in London, as we have learnt to expect, from some (ahem, vast majority) of the most exciting talent in the world. We were entertained at Meadham Kirchoff, awed at Mary Katrantzou, and reminded how god damn cool the Swedes are at Acne (above). Adieu London, until September. Until then we must say ‘ciao regazzi!’ to Milan Fashion Week and everything you have in store for us. Arrivederci.

Jonathan Saunders London Fashion Week

I’m sure that I’m not alone in saying that Jonathan Saunders has been my favourite catwalk show so far during LFW A/W 12. Twitter went wild after the show, with excited fashion journalists and blogger enthusing over the collection.

For me, the palette, pattern and texture were the highlights of the show. The embossed effects on the coats, jackets and skirts were beautiful, as were Saunders’ signature brightly coloured geometric patterns.

Saunders is one designer that each season progressively gets better, which is so fantastic to see in a young (British) designer. I really can’t wait to see what he does next.

London Fashion Week A/W 2012

Tonight is the eve of London Fashion Week A/W 2012. The time seems to go so quickly between season's, and it seems only yesterday that I was sat anticipating the beautiful collections of S/S 2012.
The big question is who is going to dress to impress at this year's LFW? Who will get the fashion pack clutching at their Chanel 2.55's in awe and admiration? I have drawn out a top five list of the designers that I am most looking forward to seeing below.
1. Mary Katrantzou - As you can see from the photographs that I took from S/S 11, I can't get enough of the women. Each season she brings something new to the table, and with the most striking twist. S/S 11's lampshade skirts are a great example of this.
2. Christopher Kane - From neons to under-the-sea, Kane has continued to produce wearable yet high-imaginative collections. I for one, can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
3. Giles - Fun, energetic and colourful designs. Deacon always has the most unexpected models on the catwalk.
4. Acne - The epitome of cool, this Swedish label always seems to tick every box with their minimalist and directional pieces.
5. Holly Fulton - Simply because her prints cannot fail to make me smile.

Emmanuelle Alt and French Vogue Cover Wham

French Vogue have recently created a music video of their team covering Wham's 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go', with Emmanuelle Alt featuring as George Michael in his heyday. It is seriously addictive viewing and I have been raving about it to anyone who will listen (I'd like to publicly apologise to my colleagues for this).

Not only have they produced great content and a highly engaging video, but it is also fantastic branding for French Vogue's newly launched website. It re-establishes their place in the market as experimental, revolutionary and fearless within the realms of fashion, as well as having joie de vivre.

It has made me love editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt more than I thought possible. After all what's not to love about a girl who doesn't take herself too seriously, and can make an 80s ensemble of a salmon pink sweatshirt, skinny jeans and high tops look like the epitome of cool. How long do you think it will be until Urban Outfitters start stocking this outfit?

Anyway, I have to dash, I'm about to start online shopping for a pair of white Baxter jeans and why not throw in a pair of white denim shorts and a 'Choose Life' t-shirt for good measure?

What KT Does

One of my favourite blogs at the moment is 'What KT Does', created by illustrator KT Smail. Scottish-born KT produces beautiful illustrations of tragic girls which she describes as having 'broken hearts, faraway lovers and dusty dresses'. My particular favourite is the girl in the pink dress (above), I love the way her outfit is complimented by the floral background.
Each girl has a look of melancholic longing which makes the illustrations all the more endearing. Also, I wouldn't mind snapping up the chic ensembles that each one is wearing.

Fashion on Film

Here in London we are experiencing a bought of cold weather (slight exaggeration to all of you reading on the Continent, Eastern Europe, North America etc). However, it is cold enough to tempt me in to hibernation this weekend. The thought of leaving the house is daunting and all I want to do is curl up on the sofa under my duvet and watch a good fashion flick. A film club for one.

The fashion film in question is the much anticipated ‘Bill Cunningham; New York’. It has been on my hit list for a while now and I can’t wait to get an insight in to the world of Bill. Let’s hope that it is worth the wait, especially as it took eight years for Cunningham to agree to the documentary.

Anna Wintour has previously said, "We all get dressed for Bill". Anything that is good enough for Anna…
